Last weekend I spent a night at Village de Ananti in Gijang Busan with my family. We stayed in one of their duplex-style cabins perched above the coastline, surrounded by ocean views and minimalist architecture. Although Gijang is a bit far from Busan’s main tourist hotspots like Haeundae, the luxurious village and town formed by the Ananti complex make the journey more than worthwhile. Between the scenic coastal views, high-end facilities, and its self-contained community of shops and cafes, it feels like stepping into a private seaside resort. In this post I’ll share an honest review of my night at Village de Ananti, covering everything from the room to the must-visit facilities within the Ananti complex.

About Ananti
Korea’s Most Exclusive Beach Resort
Before diving into my stay, it’s worth understanding what Ananti actually is. The name “Ananti” represents a Korean luxury hotel/lifestyle brand known for its high-end, nature-integrated resorts and residences. There are several properties under the Ananti brand and in Busan, there are ‘Ananti Cove‘ and ‘Village de Ananti‘.

Official Hotel for the APEC CEO Summit Korea
While Ananti Cove is positioned right by the sea, Village de Ananti is located about a five-minute walk uphill, designed around the concept of “embracing the sea from higher above.” The two resorts are complementary: Ananti Cove offers a direct connection to the ocean, while Village de Ananti provides panoramic views and a quieter residential-like setting. It’s also worth noting that Ananti Busan has recently gained even more recognition as the official hotel partner for the 2025 APEC CEO Summit.

Getting to Village de Ananti from Busan Station
Village de Ananti is located in Gijang, a serene coastal area about 40-50 minute drive from Busan Station. While you can reach it by a combination of subway and bus, the route might involve transfers and quite a bit of walking. I usually take a taxi directly from Busan Station, which cost around 28,000–35,000 KRW depending on the traffic.
Gijang is close to Haeundae, but offers a less crowded, quieter stretch of rocky coastline. It’s one of Busan’s newer growth areas with recently built attractions like IKEA, Lotte Outlets, and Lotte World Adventure Busan, making it a perfect balance between nature and urban convenience. FYI if you’re looking for a hotel in Haeundae, you should also check out my review on Signiel Busan!
Cabin S (Ocean Village View)

Our home for the night was the Cabin S Ocean Village View, a duplex-style room designed for up to four guests. The space felt both warm and modern, with its high ceiling and an open layout that made it feel larger than it was. The floor-to-ceiling windows and built-in bookshelf also added a contemporary, gallery-like touch to the room.

The living area downstairs was compact but thoughtfully designed. A long sofa stretched across the room, large enough for one adult to sleep on, but as an FYI the hotel doesn’t provide extra blankets. The bathroom was spacious with a large tub, double sinks, and eco-friendly amenities (ie. shampoo, body wash, and conditioner were all provided as solid bars with no plastic containers).

The loft area upstairs held two double beds side by side, facing the ocean view. While the duplex design added architectural charm, the overall room size and layout felt slightly compact for four adults especially with no separate bedroom or partition. It seems ideal for smaller groups or families with children who want a modern cabin-style experience with uninterrupted sea views.

Facilities & Services
A Spirit of Journey Club
Our booking included access to the two ‘A Spirit of Journey Club‘ pools: the first is an outdoor pool on the first floor right outside the lobby, while the second is an indoor pool on the 12th floor. The outdoor pool wasn’t operating when I was there, so I only visited the indoor one.

The pool area was relatively compact, featuring an ocean-facing view and neatly arranged loungers. The pool operates in five sessions from 9am to 9pm, with the last session (19:20–21:00) reserved for adults only. There are more exclusive pools within the resort like the Spring Palace or Owner’s Pool, which required an additional fee or was only open to guests staying in certain room types.
L.P. Crystal

Next to the main lobby lies L.P. Crystal, a multi-level lifestyle complex that brings together Ananti’s signature brands and curated boutiques under one roof. Beyond shopping, the building also houses a range of restaurants and cafes, including Le Blanc, Genji Dining, and Dazai. When I visited in late October, the space was already decorated with a Christmas theme🎅🎄🎁✨

Moby Dick Market
The Moby Dick Market on the first floor of Clipper C quickly became one of our favorite places during the stay. It’s a thoughtfully designed space that combines a food court, flower shop, bookstore, and a 24-hour convenience section called Corner Moby Dick.

For dinner, we ordered a Soy Sauce Fried Chicken (Half) to-go from the Moby Dick food court. FYI when ordering to-go meals through the kiosk, you can select the “take out” option, which adds a packaging fee of 3,000 KRW. The chicken was a little sweeter that what we’d expected but still came perfectly crispy, and we paired it with the raw fish platter we picked up earlier from a local restaurant nearby on our way to the hotel.

The resort also offers room service but the menu was pretty much the same as the one at Moby Dick food court like fried chicken, tteokbokki, and hamburg steak. If you plan to order delivery food externally, note that delivery riders aren’t allowed up to the rooms so you’ll need to meet them at the parking entrance.

Beckett
For breakfast the next morning we picked up a Margherita pizza to-go from Beckett, the cafe on the lobby floor. Beckett serves as both a brunch cafe and bakery, offering freshly baked breads, sandwiches, and pizzas alongside coffee and drinks. The pizza was light, freshly baked, and perfect for a quick brunch before check-out.

Ananti Town

Getting to Ananti Cove from Village de Ananti
If you’re staying at Village de Ananti, it’s definitely worth walking down to Ananti Cove, where Ananti Town is located. It’s about a 10-minute walk downhill, or you can take the free shuttle bus that runs between the two resorts every half an hour.

Things To Do in Ananti Town
Ananti Town has a vibrant mix of cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops, along with one of the most scenic coastal walking trails in Busan. Their Coastal Walk connects Haedong Yonggungsa Temple all the way to Daebyeon Port, offering stunning views of the cliffs and the East Sea. And the walkway is open to the public so even if you’re not staying at the resort, it’s well worth visiting Ananti Town for a relaxing seaside stroll.

The two places I’d most recommend visiting in Ananti Town are Eternal Journey, a beautiful library-style bookstore, and Cabinet de Poisson, a serene oceanfront cafe located near the end of the coastal walk. With its glass windows overlooking the sea, Cabinet de Poisson is the perfect spot to unwind with coffee and dessert after your walk.

Overall
For anyone planning a nature-friendly getaway or a coastal luxury stay in Korea, I’d definitely recommend Village de Ananti. From the uniquely designed duplex cabin to the vibrant community of Ananti Town, everything felt intentionally curated for rest and wellness. Although Gijang sits a little apart from Busan Station or Haeundae, its peaceful coastal charm and high-end facilities makes Ananti the ideal destination for a family trip.
