Honest Review of One Night Stay at Signiel Busan | Best Hotel for First-Timers in Busan Haeundae (시그니엘 부산)

Although I’m originally from Busan, this was actually my first time visiting the city with just my mom. And choosing to stay at Signiel Busan turned out to be the perfect decision to make this short trip to feel extra special for both of us. Perched above Haeundae Beach in the iconic LCT Tower, Signiel offered a whole experience: waking up to the view of Mipo Harbor, relaxing in the quiet comfort of the lounge, and watching the sunset from the infinity pool.

LCT Complex

Located within the LCT complex, a massive trio of skyscrapers right along Haeundae’s coastline, Signiel Busan boasts one of the best locations for those who are travelling to Busan for the first time: Staying here means you’re within 5 minutes’ walk from Haeundae Beach, and LCT Mall that connects the three buildings provides everything you need—a convenience store, grocery store, and cafés—all under one roof.

Getting to Signiel Hotel from Busan Station

If you’re coming from Busan Station, public transportation to Haeundae can take over an hour so I recommend taking a taxi to the hotel. It typically takes around 35 to 45 minutes by car, though travel time can vary significantly depending on traffic. FYI Busan traffic tends to get quite heavy on weekends or during rush hour.

We booked a Grand Deluxe Double Room with Mipo Harbor View, which greeted us with a panoramic window overlooking the coast. FYI Mipo Harbor at the eastern end of Haeundae Beach, is known for its scenic walking trails and seafood restaurants. We also had a perfect view Dalmaji Hill(달맞이고개), a scenic coastal slope famous for its moonlit ocean views at night. Its Moon-tan Road, a serene walking path lined with pine trees, is loved by locals for evening strolls under the moonlight.

The spacious room featured soft blue tones, textured walls, and a soothing atmosphere that matched the view outside. The bed was generously sized, and the small table with a compact sofa by the window was ideal for us to enjoy late night snacks and a light breakfast. The bathroom was cleanly designed in stone gray, with both a separate shower and a bath tub. Amenities were by Diptyque — a luxurious touch that lived up to the hotel’s premium positioning.

Pricing

I booked the Grand Deluxe Double Room on Agoda for ₩307,763. Considering it was a Friday night stay at a 5-star hotel with an ocean view, I was genuinely satisfied with the price. Prices do tend to climb on weekends and public holidays, so I’d recommend booking early or targeting off-peak dates if you want the best deal.

Outdoor Infinity Pool

One of the highlights of staying at Signiel Busan is its infinity pool on the 6th floor, which directly faces Haeundae Beach. Facing westward, the pool offers a front-row view of sunsets in the late afternoon. There’s also a poolside bar where you can enjoy a drink while taking in the horizon. It’s an experience I’d recommend even to locals for a special staycation.

Salon de Signiel Busan Lounge

All guests staying at Signiel Busan have access to Salon de Signiel, a private lounge on the 8th floor. The lounge is divided into a family zone where kids are welcome and a quieter business zone only for adults. There’s no limit to the number of visits throughout the day, so you can stop by anytime between 7am and 10pm to enjoy free drinks, coffee, or snacks at your own pace.

The food was simple—with just fruits, cookies, and juice—but the ambiance and sea view made it a perfect refreshment spot. One downside is that take-out is no longer allowed, so everything must be enjoyed inside the lounge. My mom and I lounged right after check-in and just before check-out, which was a perfect way to start and end our short stay at the hotel.

Evening Delights Happy Hour

During the Evening Delights hours (5pm–8pm), complimentary champagne, wine, and light snacks are served. That said, it can get quite busy during this happy hour and you may need to wait for a seat. When there is a wait they let you leave your phone number and come back when a table becomes available. You can also check the current wait status in real time through Salon de Signiel Waitlist – NowWaiting, which is super convenient if you’re deciding when to drop by.

Overall

In my previous trip to Busan I stayed at Hotel Nongshim, which is a great option for those seeking a more traditional stay with access to sauna and hot spring facilities. But if you’re looking for a landmark hotel experience with the best views of Haeundae Beach, Signiel Busan would definitely be a perfect choice. Even as someone who was born in Busan, this stay made me see the city with fresh eyes. From the breathtaking views to the thoughtful facilities like Salon de Signiel, every part of the experience made our one-night getaway feel like a true escape. I felt both reconnected to the city and detached from everyday routines, in the best way possible.
