Top 3 Olive Young Must-Buy Snacks by Delight Project, Osulloc & Labnosh

If you’re wondering what to buy in Olive Young beyond the latest K-beauty products, don’t overlook their snack section! As the leading health and beauty store, Olive Young also offers a great selection of trendy and delicious snacks in Korea. In this post, I’ll introduce three Olive Young must-buys that are perfect for satisfying your cravings: Delight Project Garlic Butter Bagel Chips, OSULLOC Matcha Pretzels, and Labnosh Low Sugar Five-Layer Wafers.

Delight Project Garlic Butter Bagel Chips (딜라이트 프로젝트 베이글칩)

As part of Olive Young’s private brand (PB), Delight Project is well-known for its lineup of healthier snacks. And the bagel chips from Delight Project have gained significant popularity among both local and international shoppers at Olive Young. They come in various flavors but I chose the garlic butter flavor for today’s review.

The chips were golden-brown in color and were generously coated in garlic butter seasoning, giving them that signature sweet and savory flavor. They tasted remarkably similar to the famous garlic bread (마늘빵), a beloved snack in Korea. The combination of buttery richness and the garlicky aroma brings to mind the savory, comforting taste of freshly baked garlic bread.

One bag (60g) of these chips are 260 calories, providing 45g of carbohydrates and 6g of protein per bag. The chips are quite carb-heavy, likely due to the bagel base. They should definitely be enjoyed in moderation, especially considering the sugar and saturated fat content. (Thankfully the portion size is not too big.)

Osulloc Matcha Pretzels (오설록 말차 프레첼)

The Osulloc Matcha Pretzel from Olive Young is another delicious snack that combines the rich flavor of green tea with the satisfying crunch of a pretzel. For those of you who are not familiar with the name, Osulloc is a well-known Korean tea brand renowned for its premium green tea products.

The pretzels are coated in a generous layer of matcha, offering a sweet and bitter green tea flavor that is perfectly balanced with the crispy bite of the pretzel. The matcha coating has a smooth and creamy texture that’s reminiscent of the chocolate-covered pretzels from Godiva, but with a more refined flavor from the matcha. If you’ve ever enjoyed chocolate-covered pretzels and are looking for something more unique, these matcha pretzels offer a delightful alternative.

The Osulloc Matcha Pretzels have a serving size of 70g, containing 330 calories per package. They are relatively high in carb and saturated fat content, so I recommend having them in smaller portions – it’s nice how the bags have resealable zip locks.

Labnosh Low-Sugar Wafers (랩노쉬 저당 웨하스)

Labnosh is a health-conscious brand in Korea known for offering delicious yet nutritious snacks, often focusing on low-sugar, high-protein options. Their products are designed for those who want to indulge in sweet treats without the guilt. Their Low-Sugar Choco Strawberry Wafers are a perfect example of how the brand successfully balances health with flavor. This product is also part of the growing low-sugar trend in Korea, where many snacks and products are now coming in zero or low sugar varieties.

The chocolate and strawberry layers were well balanced, and the wafer texture was perfectly crispy. While the color of the wafer was a bit lighter than what I’d anticipated from the bright pink packaging, the rich strawberry flavor was definitely there. And unlike those artificial strawberry-flavored snacks, the strawberry taste was quite natural and pleasantly balanced with the chocolate coating. Most importantly if you weren’t told they were low-sugar, you might never guess it.

The Labnosh Low-Sugar Choco Strawberry Wafers are relatively moderate in calories, with a 53g serving providing 240 calories. As the name suggests it only has 2g of sugar, impressively low for a sweet treat. Although it has 11g of saturated fat, there’s no trans fat and is low in sodium. Given its low sugar content, these wafers are a satisfying and indulgent yet more health-conscious option, especially for those watching their sugar intake.
