Lukt (meaning “lantern” in Icelandic) is one of the most well known greek yogurt brands in Korea, dedicated to producing premium Greek yogurt and creating a healthy, refined lifestyle. Cafe Lukt extends the brand’s portfolio beyond dairy products, offering a variety of brunch, lunch, and even dinner options. Their philosophy is reflected in this first official offline space, making it more than just a yogurt shop but a full-fledged dining experience.

Yogurt in general has been a huge trend in Korea, with popular spots like Yoajung known for its yogurt ice cream and other specialty Greek yogurt cafes offering a variety of flavors and DIY toppings. So if you’re wondering what to eat in Korea, greek yogurt is a great addition to your list!

As expected from a Greek yogurt specialty brand, Cafe Lukt offers an extensive selection of yogurt-based dishes. However, their menu is not limited to yogurtthey also serve sandwiches, soups, salads and pasta, making it suitable for both brunch and casual dinner. The lunch menu primarily consists of sandwiches and soups, while the evening menu includes salads, pasta and wine options. It would’ve been nice if they had a few pasta dishes for lunch as well.

The lunch menu prices are mostly in the 10,000 KRW range, which is quite reasonable. And when ordering a sandwich you can add soup or coffee for a 2,000 KRW discount, making it even more budget-friendly.

This open sandwich combines avocado, egg and tomato, with a touch of pumpkin purée. But the pumpkin flavor was hardly noticeable, as the egg and tomato flavors were more dominant. While it was a decent sandwich with a classic flavor combination it wasn’t the most unique dish.

Topped with pulled pork and rich mozzarella cheese, this sandwich reminded me of a savory pizza. The pulled pork was quite heavily seasoned with spices (probably curry, pepper and/or cumin), which may not appeal to those sensitive to strong seasonings. But if you enjoy bold flavors, this sandwich could be a great choice.

As expected, Lukt’s Greek yogurt did not disappoint. The cookies & cream yogurt base, topped with chocolate shells, granola, and chocolate pieces created the perfect balance with the fresh tanginess of the yogurt. This dish was our favorite, offering a creamy and indulgent experience without being too guilty.

Vibe & Atmosphere

Despite being newly opened, Cafe Lukt was already packed when we arrived at 12:30PM on a Sunday, with a few people waiting. Fortunately we had made a reservation via CatchTable, but it was quite disappointing that our seats weren’t pre-assigned (so we had to wait for the staff to make arrangements). This was a slight inconvenience considering we had already paid a deposit through the app.

The interior of the cafe was quite compact with tables set closely together, but the large windows make the space feel more open. One of the highlights was the view—our table had a direct view of the HYBE building, adding a modern cityscape vibe to the experience. The wood-toned furniture with green and orange accents created a warm and lively ambiance. They also had small outdoor seating area which seemed perfect for enjoying a coffee or yogurt bowl outside on a warmer day.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

Overall

Overall Cafe Lukt delivered a solid brunch experience. While the sandwiches were decent, the yogurt bowl stood out as the highlight of our meal. Next time, I’d love to try more of their yogurt-based dishes, as well as explore their evening menu with wine pairings. If you’re a Greek yogurt fan looking for a new brunch spot in Seoul, Cafe Lukt is worth checking out!
