How to Get to The Hyundai Seoul by Subway
Most navigation apps recommend getting off at Yeouinaru Station for The Hyundai Seoul, but I suggest using Yeouido Station for better convenience. From Yeouido Station, head toward Exit 3, where you’ll find an underpass to IFC Mall and The Hyundai Seoul. The covered moving walkways are especially handy on rainy or snowy days. Following this path, you’ll first arrive at IFC Mall, with The Hyundai Seoul just beyond it—making the journey both easy and weather-proof.

Food Court at The Hyundai Seoul
The food court “Tasty Seoul,” located on the B1 floor of The Hyundai Seoul, features some of the trendiest restaurants from across Korea. The lineup of stores frequently changes, making it exciting to explore new options every visit. To stay updated, checking the latest list on their website is highly recommended.

When I visited, I tried “Queen Tteokbokki” for their original tteokbokki and “BuraBura” for delicious Japanese-style shrimp and fruit sandos. The tteokbokki was spicier than what I’d expected – it would be a great option for those who are looking for extry spicy Korean food. The ebi sando (shrimp sandwich) featured a shrimp patty that was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The addition of corn in the patty brought an unexpectedly delightful texture, making the sandwich even more enjoyable.

After enjoying your meal at the food court, be sure to visit the event zone next to the grocery market. This area often features dessert pop-up shops showcasing trending treats in Korea. When I visited in January 2025, they had pop-ups selling traditional Korean snacks like yakwa and oranda, likely to celebrate the Lunar New Year (Seollal) season. It’s a fantastic way to discover seasonal delicacies and take home some unique sweets!

B2 Creative Ground
The B2 floor of The Hyundai Seoul, aptly named “Creative Ground,” is a hub for trendy fashion stores aimed at young shoppers. The space is vibrant and modern, featuring a mix of popular brands that cater to various styles. It’s perfect for fashion enthusiasts looking for fresh and innovative options. I’ll be sharing a separate blog post soon to highlight some of my favorite shops from this floor, so stay tuned!

L1 Waterfall Garden
I won’t be focusing much on floors 1 to 3, as they primarily feature luxury brands and boutiques we’re all familiar with. If you’re into high-end shopping though, it’s definitely worth a visit. And don’t miss the stunning waterfall garden while going up the escalators—it’s a 12m-long waterfall spanning from the 1st to the 3rd floor, evoking a magical vibe reminiscent of the movie Avatar.

L5 Sounds Forest
The 5th floor, Sounds Forest, is another highlight of The Hyundai Seoul. This massive indoor garden features natural light streaming through a 20m-high glass ceiling, creating a peaceful and nature-like atmosphere. When I visited in late January, the garden was under temporary revamp for a new look, but I highly recommend visiting during the Christmas season. The space transforms into a stunning Christmas market/garden with elaborate decorations, making it one of the most magical times to experience Sounds Forest.

Below are some pictures I took during Christmas in 2023.

Overall

The Hyundai Seoul is undoubtedly one of the most impressive shopping malls in Korea, offering all the latest trends in food, fashion, and lifestyle. Beyond its incredible selection of shops and restaurants, the mall’s aesthetic architecture makes it an Instagram-worthy destination even for those who are not huge fans of shopping. Whether you’re here to shop, dine, or simply explore, The Hyundai Seoul promises an unforgettable experience that combines modernity with creativity.
